Create Your Own Mosaic Christmas Decoration

Hanging Christmas Tree

Crafting your own mosaic Christmas decorations is an exciting project for this season. These mosaic stars are easy to create, no tile cutting needed, and they turn out stunning. They're fast, budget-friendly, and bring a unique mosaic touch. Have some Christmas fun by involving the kids!

Materials Used

Hanging Christmas Tree - Large (Approximately 14.5 wide x 16 .5cm high)
Tiles
- Green Ceramic Petals
- Green Small Crystal Glass Petals - 20x7mm
- Green Crystal Glass Petals - 30x10mm
- Red Pointed Glass Drops
- 4 x 1cm Glass tiles - we've used 1cm Red Crystal Glass Tiles
Adhesive
Black Grout
Grout cleanup supplies (container, sponges, or cloth)

Instructions

Spend some time planning the layout of your design, ensuring that it wil fit onto the face without having to cut your tiles.
Apply the adhesive to the bottom of the tiles and stick them onto the tree. We have used an adhesive called E6000 but you could also use white or clear silicone. If you intend on using PVA adhesive you will have to rough up the surface of the tree to give the adhesive something to grip onto as it is very smooth.
Allow adhesive to full dry
Protect the edges and the bottom of the tree with painters or masking tape.
